This Parker Asahi Cutting Board is a sleek, medium-sized synthetic rubber cutting board in matte black - crafted in Japan by Parker Asahi, pioneers in rubber cutting board design since the 1960s. This board comes in two sizes, with the Medium measuring either 300 × 200 × 8mm and the large 370 x 245 x 8mm. Its synthetic rubber material offers the tactile feel of wood, due to the wood powder added to the rubber, while delivering enhanced durability.

Made from synthetic rubber, this board is stain-resistant, extremely hygienic and designed to be knife-edge friendly, thanks to its slightly cushioning surface that helps reduce blade dulling. The black matte finish not only looks elegant but also provides excellent contrast for visual clarity during preparation

Constructed in Fukaya, Saitama Prefecture in Japan, it brings a softer, knife-friendly surface than traditional hard plastic or wooden boards. The board’s elastic surface allows knife blades to slightly sink in, preserving their sharpness and offering a smooth, satisfying cutting feel. Non-slip and resistant to water absorption, it doesn't slide when used and resists stains, molds, and lingering odours.

Care Instructions:

• Wash by hand with hot water and a neutral detergent using a scrubber or brush, rinse well, and dry thoroughly to prevent mold or surface darkening. 
  

• For stubborn grime, you can use bleach (sparingly, do not soak) or a cutting-board scraper to restore the surface.

• Avoid dishwashers and heat damage. Do not expose to temperatures above ~90 °C (194 °F) or below ~–30 °C (–22 °F).

• If warping occurs due to prolonged high-temperature exposure, gently heat to ~80 °C (176 °F), place on a flat surface, apply weight, and allow cooling to restore shape.
