Crafted from wood, the Oyanagi Vegetable Julienne Slicer is designed to finely peel vegetables into a julienne shape. It also features a wooden handle to provide an elegant, yet sturdy finish.
In order to effectively julienne vegetables the Oyanagi Julienne Slicer contains a sharp stainless steel blade, similar to that of a kitchen knife.
This Julienne Peeler is the perfect tool to make Kinpira dishes - a Japanese technique of cooking - however it can also be used for any other dish that calls for julienned vegetables as well.
When using, always place on a flat surface and slice slowly. The blade is extremely sharp so do not use with shortened vegetables.
Oyanagi Industrial Co., Ltd. is a family owned manufacturer of natural wooden tools and utensils. The company was established in 1926 and is based in the famed blacksmithing cities of Tsubame-Sanjo. The company still produces a wide range of wooden products in the traditional Japanese way.
