Since its establishment as a brush manufacturer in 1869, Hiroshima Artist Brush Co. have manufactured many different types of brushes. As the leading company in the brush industry, they strive to maintain the traditional craft goods of Japan and export them globally.
This "mini-calligraphy set" contains all tools necessary for calligraphy, such as two Kumanofude brushes, an Indian ink bar, an ink stone, a pitcher, a brush putting, and a memo pad, into a paulownia box compactly.
What's in the box:
Suzuri Box
It is made of paulownia in order to keep humidity out properly in the box.
It is small and it has an elegant simplicity throughout the grain of the paulownia.
Brush
"Miyajima"
It is a medium size brush to which the character of powerful quality can be thinly written only by the delicacy.
"Momiji"
This brush is made of mixed hair of weasel, horse, and others. It is smooth slipping but elastic and suitable for the Kana style.
Ink Stone
It is a small inkstone.
Indian Ink
It is made in Nara Prefecture, Japan, and called a "Sho en boku". It is a small size, one-quarter size.
"Mizusashi" Pitcher
It is made of earthenware with the stability, and a calm celadon colour.
Brush putting
It is made of earthenware and easy-to-use to put two brushes.
"Ippitsusen" Writing pad
Good for either pen or calligraphy. 30 sheets.

We use a selection of reputable national courier companies for deliveries, depending on the delivery address. Your parcel should arrive within 3-5 working days of receipt of the order or POP, if an EFT. Rural delivery may take a little bit longer. We will always advise if there is an expected delay.

All delivery costs for products delivered within South Africa are based on a flat rate fee, if under R800 in retail value. R80 for within Cape Town and R120 for National. We also offer a Collection option which is free of charge.
