Hall Haus × Higonokami
The Hall Haus × Higonokami collaboration brings together contemporary French design and more than 130 years of Japanese knife-making tradition.
Created by French design collective Hall Haus in collaboration with Nagao Kanekoma Factory of Miki City, Japan—the historic maker of Higonokami knives since 1894—the collection was developed for the Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025.
The collaboration reinterprets the iconic Higonokami pocket knife through modern forms and materials, while preserving its traditional craftsmanship. Selected models feature 16-layer VG10 Damascus steel blades, paired with distinctive handles and custom wood sheaths crafted from materials such as ebony and quince wood.
Traditional hand-forged techniques are combined with contemporary details, including perforated handle designs, refined screw hinges and bespoke protective sheaths.
A meeting of French design and Japanese craftsmanship, the collection gives a celebrated Japanese classic a distinctly contemporary expression.

We use a selection of reputable national courier companies for deliveries, depending on the delivery address. Your parcel should arrive within 3-5 working days of receipt of the order or POP, if an EFT. Rural delivery may take a little bit longer. We will always advise if there is an expected delay.
SOUTH AFRICA
All delivery costs for products delivered within South Africa are based on a flat rate fee, if under R1250 in retail value. R105 for within Cape Town and R120 for National. We also offer a Collection option which is free of charge.
