How to Enjoy

For a traditional-style matcha, sift approximately 2 g into a chawan or bowl. Add 60–70 ml of water at approximately 75–80°C and whisk briskly with a bamboo chasen until smooth and lightly foamed.

For a matcha latte, prepare the matcha with a small amount of warm water before adding approximately 150–200 ml of hot or cold milk. Its balanced intensity also makes it ideal for iced matcha and other everyday matcha drinks.

Storage

Matcha is particularly sensitive to light, heat, air and moisture. Keep the package tightly sealed and stored in a cool, dark place. Once opened, refrigeration is recommended. Allow the sealed package to return to room temperature before opening to help prevent condensation and preserve the matcha’s fresh aroma, flavour and vibrant green colour.
