Nagao Kanekoma are fifth generation knife makers and the president is Mitsuo Nagao. Nagao Kanekoma has been making knives since 1894.
This Japanese Higonokami knife has a core of Japanese Aogami # 1 "Blue paper" carbon steel (non-stainless). This double-sided sharpened knife is completely forged by the only master blacksmith who is allowed to make Higonokami knives (M. Nagao). The blade is sturdy and manually sharpened and is very easy to sharpen yourself. This edition has a notch in the handle to make it easier to remove the knife from the handle.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Wash knife immediately after use with water. Dry the surface of the knife by pouring hot water of it and wipe this off with a tissue. Apply oil and then wipe off the oil with a tissue. Put the knife in to a dry storage space. If you leave the knife wet or with food on it, it will rust.
If rust appears please use our rust eraser to bring it back to it's original state.

Your parcel should arrive within 3-5 working days of receipt of the order or POP, if an EFT. Rural delivery may take a little bit longer. We will always advise if there is an expected delay.
