Crafted from premium Japanese diatomaceous earth (Keisodo) using traditional plaster techniques, this elegantly understated drying block safeguards your dry goods against moisture and humidity.
Its refined, chocolate bar-inspired form seamlessly integrates into any kitchen aesthetic while actively preventing salt, sugar, and spices from clumping. Engineered for small-mouth containers and shakers, it maintains optimal freshness with quiet efficiency. Designed to be broken into smaller pieces if the container requires it.Ā
A sophisticated solution for the discerning home, this moisture-control tool marries Japanese craftsmanship with contemporary minimalismāa subtle yet indispensable addition to thoughtful kitchen organisation.
Key Benefits:
- Superior moisture absorption ā The natural diatomaceous earth material features microscopic pores that absorb humidity rapidly, helping prevent salt from hardening and keeping dry goods fresh.Ā
 - Food-safe & eco-friendly ā The block is tested for food hygiene and safe to use even in contact with food items.Ā
 - Space-efficient & versatile ā Its compact shape fits easily into jars, spice containers, snack bags or small storage vessels, making it practical for multiple uses.Ā
 - Reusable & low maintenance ā Once the block has saturated its absorption capacity, simply air or sun-dry it to restore its effect. This makes it durable and cost-efficient.Ā
 - Minimalist design ā The clean white colour and simple bar shape integrate seamlessly into modern kitchens without disrupting aesthetics.

Care Instructions:
- Place the block in your container (salt shaker, sugar jar, snack bag, spice bottle). If needed, break the bar into smaller pieces to fit.
 - Avoid soaking the block in water. If it becomes saturated or appears less effective, remove it and air-dry or sun-dry it thoroughly before re-use.
 - Some fine powder may appear around the block ā this is normal due to the nature of the material and does not impact its performance.
 - Over time, salt residue or minerals may adhere to the surface; simply brush off, rinse lightly and dry in the sun to restore function. Color change may occur but will not affect absorption.
 - Store in a dry place when not in use, and keep out of reach of small children.
 - Avoid placing the block in continuously humid or wet environments for prolonged periods; this may reduce absorption capacity or damage the material.
