A refined Japanese pocket knife, handcrafted by Mr Yoshimi Kotoh, whose work reflects the quiet precision and simplicity of traditional Japanese knife-making.

The compact folding knife pairs a finely crafted D2 steel blade, chosen for its strength and excellent edge retention, with a handle made from richly coloured padauk wood. Warm red and amber tones reveal the natural character of the timber, with each handle displaying its own distinctive grain and colouring.

Small enough for everyday carry yet beautifully considered in every detail, the Kotoh pocket knife is designed as a practical object with the character of a handmade piece. Its restrained form, natural materials and tactile construction embody a Japanese appreciation for objects that are both useful and enduring.

More than an everyday cutting tool, it is a small expression of Japanese craftsmanship—a pocket-sized object to use, carry and appreciate over time.

We use a selection of reputable national courier companies for deliveries, depending on the delivery address.  Your parcel should arrive within 3-5 working days of receipt of the order or POP, if an EFT. Rural delivery may take a little bit longer. We will always advise if there is an expected delay.

All delivery costs for products delivered within South Africa are based on a flat rate fee, if under R1250 in retail value. R105 for within Cape Town and R120 for National. We also offer a Collection option which is free of charge.
